Insanity points are gained as follows:
Critical Hits: one point is gained each time a critical hit is score again the character and remains until the injury is healed…amputation does not count as a healed wound and causes an insanity point to remain.
Deleriant: insanity points may be gained when victim to a poison or strong drug.
Other: Points may be gained at the GM’s discretion for any experience of a particularly horrible kind- suffering torture or encountering chaos manifestations are some examples.
When a character has gained 6 points of insanity they must check again their willpower. Every subsequent IP gained beyond 6 will trigger the WP check…a failure of this check results in gaining a disorder, in exchange for dropping 6 IP.
